Body Talking Ltd is a social enterprise that aims to impact on the health and well-being of families through creative arts. We are looking to expand our management committee and recruit new mentors and advisors to join an aspirational team at a crucial point of growth and development.
Body Talking Ltd are a team of visual artists, storytellers, dancers and musicians who work with families to encourage attachment, physical and creative development and awareness of the importance of creative play and the arts as a form of early intervention. Body Talking delivers two programmes: Creative Homes and Tea Dance for Little People.
Creative Homes is an experiential home visiting service that uses trained artists to identify and solve every day stresses in the home. We aim to help families reduce their stress, so they become healthier and more resilient, with the ultimate objective of improving children’s outcomes. Creative Homes is targeted at higher need families often from lower income backgrounds.
Tea Dance for Little People is aimed at improving the health and well-being of all families with young children through creative play. We are committed to improving the wellbeing of families by helping them explore their own artistic adventures. Be it a performance, party, workshop or immersive installation, we offer refreshing, custom written pieces responding to commissions from theatres, museums, parks and other venues, led by a professional team of artists, dancers, storytellers and musicians.
We have identified gaps in our expertise and are looking for individuals who specialise in the following areas:

The role is voluntary and we will ask you to commit to two days a year, usually consisting of one full away day and two half day sessions. We are based in Lewisham but we may also meet in central London close to transport hubs.
We are hoping to have new team members in place by September in time for our annual away day.
